Finding a new home

I had heard the horror stories...rumors from other church planters, about the DIFFICULTY, near IMPOSSIBILITY of finding a good facility. Always thought they were exaggerating. Now I can say from personal experience that they are true. I've spent past couple of weeks calling and visiting dozens of churches, YMCAs, community centers, schools, even theaters, and I've come up short. Nada. At least in term of what we can afford or what can accomodate our group. Bit disheartening. We had couple of good leads. But they fell through. Keep telling myself, "God must have a better place for us." I'm sure He does.
So the search continues. So should our prayers. We often take our home for granted. But with rising foreclosure rate and many people losing their homes, hopefully we can appreciate the value of home more. While grateful for the Burbank facility we currently call "home," let's not forget that we are really guests on extended stay, benefiting from hospitality of our hosts. I don't know about you. But I feel unsettled. I feel like our luggages are still unpacked, and we're just waiting to move on to wherever it is that we're suppose to get to. Let's pray that God will lead us home soon. Not only in ultimate sense of our ultimate home in glory. But in terms of a place here on earth (preferably in Glendale!) where we can share our common life in Christ together, and where we can invite and receive guests.
